Date Unknown, 2000 - Tom Johnston & Keith Knudsen

This is another example of when poor record keeping may detract from the story.  In 2000, Tom Johnston and Keith Knudsen of The Doobie Brothers came by Q104.3 to promote their new boxed set, Long Train Running.

At the moment I was taking this picture, I quoted my favorite line ever in reference to this great Classic Rock band, "Which Doobie you be?" - to Tom.  The line is from What's Happening when The Doobies appeared on the show to play a concert Roger Re-Run's high school.

He laughed and I followed up with, "I am sure you get that all the time." Johnston replied that not too many remembered the show, and they, in fact, did not have the quote said to them often.  "You must be a real Doobies fan, man."

Another interesting thing about this shot, which you cannot see, is that Johnston and Knusden are seated on the bench seat of one of the Q104.3 vans.  For some reason we had pulled it out of the vehicle to make room for something and left the seat in the studio.

Shot on a Sony digital camera.
