For a few years, Q104.3 had a "special relationship" with the Pop Artist, Peter Max.  Max wanted to enhance his New York City studio space with performances.

Our General Manager at the time, Matt Ross, was somewhat friends with a rock manager named Scooter Weintraub, who had blues guitarist Doyle Bramhall II as a client.

Bramhall had just released his first album with his band Smokestack, Welcome, and agreed to play a special client/listener party/special edition of the radio show "Ground Zero" at Peter Max's studio.

This was supposed to be the first of many, but the logistics were, shall we say, increasingly cumbersome.

This night, however was fun, because it afforded the folks in the room a glimpse at an artist who was a founding member of Arc Angels and would go on to play in Sheryl Crow and Eric Clapton's touring bands.
